Hey, i'm new on MC. I started playing about an hour ago and I downloaded the newest version. After a few minutes I was tired of the lag so I looked for some settings I could lower to try and help with this. I changed a couple things like rendering blocks, and particles. Then I changed to full screen and it opened to full but it was a black screen and stopped responding.
Now every time I try downloading and running the game it opens to the same full blank screen. Do I need to copy it to my desktop (like put a short cut on the desktop) and if so, how?

What is different this time than the other times? By running the game, do you mean pressing 'Play' in the launcher?
