PROBLEM: Laptop in the last hour has suddenly dropped the fps to 10-15. I usually get 80-120 fps. The laptop isn't hot. And the game has 1GB ram allocated to it.
TRIED: Restarting computer - Re-Installing minecraft 1.7.4 - Re-Installed java 7 (update 45) - Updated all drivers - Ran a full virus scan, removed DealPly registry keys - Ran CCleaner and fixed registry errors, unwanted applications, temporary file data, unused file data.
SPECS: PROCESSOR: Intel® Core™ i7 processor 4700MQ (2.4GHz - 3.4GHz, (Quad Cores) 1600MHz FSB, 6MB L3 Cache) MEMORY: 8GB RAM
OS: Windows 8.1 (64bit) STORAGE: 1TB Hard Disk Drive GRAPHICS: nVIDIA GeForce GT 745M 2GB With Optimus + Intel® HD Graphics 4600
THOUGHTS: I have a feeling the thermal paste has evaporated, due to it getting to burning point at my friends place. However the next day it was all okay, until suddenly I restarted my laptop after it being shutdown for a while.
TO KNOW: The day prior it got very hot, the laptop isn't in ECO mode or low on power, not many processes are open.
I just deleted the entire .minecraft folder and re installed it with a fresh download of the launcher. Didn't solve anything. Also I can run tekkit and everything else OKAY, it's just vanilla minecraft.
