not sure if this belongs in the vanilla or modded, but i have no clue how to play a map downloaded from another source. picked up The Code 3 and Diversity, but can't figure out how to load them in order to play the maps that have been reviewed as being awesome. help?
p.s. if this is in the wrong section, could a mod/admin please move it? thanks.
1. Most maps come in a .zip format, so first you should unzip them with your favorite unzipping program, like WinRAR or 7Zip.
2. Open the Run prompt (Windows button + R), and then type %appdata%. This opens your Application Data folder. Double-click on the ".minecraft" folder, and then go to the "saves" folder.
3. Drag the file you unzipped from the download into the "saves" folder.
Congrats, you can now play the new map!
Note: You can do all this while the game is running; to view your updated maps just go back to the Main Menu and click again on Singleplayer.
