Minecraft Forums

I have been having a problem with minecraft and i found out what it was but i don't know how to fix it. When i open the launcher and start the game it takes a long time to load and then it doesn't save any worlds that i made. When i went into the files to see if there was an obvious problem there was. There were no folders there there was a minecraft folder but not saves folder no resource pack folder nothing like that. What is causing the folders to not be there?
