I contacted Mojang and they said they don't offer technical support for minecraft.
I'ved looked up the issue tons of times and I can't find any solution. It happens a lot and it is really frustrating as I impairs my ability to navigate, it happens much more often near lava than anything but not limited to this. Loging off and back on doesn't solve anything as it happens again but it is all random.
Tried changing settings in Nvidia panel and setup a game profile for java and javaw so nvidia treats it as a game (this made the game brighter, look better, and faster but didn't solve the problem).
That post is really old. One reason for texture problems in the new versions of minecraft is a video card that has trouble with the mipmapping. Try turning it off in the minecraft video options
