Hi I just purchased and downloaded the game from the www.minecraft.net website. The file is minecraft.exe. I logged on with my username and everything seemed fine until I clicked play button. In development console, the following was displayed:

This lists goes on and on. It won't let me play. I updated my JAVA and I ran this launcher with admin access. Still no luck. Then I thought I need to turn off my firewalls and anti virus programs, but it still said couldn't download. Can someone help me out please?

Hi I tried manually open https://libraries.minecraft.net/org/lwjgl/lwjgl/lwjgl_util/2.9.1-nightly-20131120/lwjgl_util-2.9.1-nightly-20131120.jar because the launcher tried to download from this URL. It couldn't download even in the browser. But when I tried another URL from the launcher eg. https://libraries.minecraft.net/com/mojang/authlib/1.2/authlib-1.2.jar I could download it from the browser. This is weird. Hope this can help you diagnose the situation a little bit. Thanks.

Just to update this thread and I figured out why this problem occurs. It turns out my former ISP blocked the IP addresses for the update server. The problem is solved when I change my ISP. So if someone ever run into this issue, please check it with your ISP. Thanks and good luck guys.
