That's The Basic's Of the Stuff that I Could Find By Default. So Anyway. Before I Start on this Topic. I would Like to say I Use to have A HORIABLE COMPUTER. It was a Dell Inspiration. WITH THE WORST Graphics Card Or at least I thought and on Minecraft It sucked Cause I would get on Average 10-15 fps sometimes Worst then. For my Birthday 16th. I got this Amazing Computer And I would Get 60fps NO PROBLEM on minecraft I was SO HAPPY guy's And I loved it well I stop'ed Playing. Minecraft For Awhile And I Downloaded Steam Which most pc gamers Have. And Ofcourse You know I downloaded a couple of games Terraria, Team Fortress 2, Gary's Mod, Never Winter, Soldier Front 2. And I Also Play Battle Field Heros, Combat Arms, Ok ok im sure you get that point On games. Anyway I came back to Minecraft And it had this Update 1.7.4 And so I was like yay. Im gonna check it out. Well Now When I play it I get 20-30fps AND SOMETIMES very Rare it will go up to 60 and then drop back down. I don't Understand this Guy's I KNOW 30fps Is ALOT but guy's I use to get 60fps like nothing And even WITH optifine Installed I STILL GET 20-30fps And I know I don't Have THE BEST PC IN THE World. But It's REALLY GOOD. And I don't Understand Why It's Going SO Low I mean this is a gaming Pc. and Anyother Game I RUN ON THE HIGHEST Settings NO LAG WHAT SO ever but on mc I don't get lag I just get low Fps. And I hate it Cause I use to get 60fps And anything Above 60fps is just the Same as 500fps To use Because by the Nakad human Eye cannot Capture Anything Above 60fps So I just want my 60fps Back lol. And I was reading into this Article on here that. Said Well it Was saying READ THIS FOR PERFORMANCE ON MC or something. and I reading the number 7. And it said something about. Making Sure that Your Nivida Is used in your Control panel and BIOS or something and Idk how to do that I mean I open'ed up my Nivida Control Panel But idk how to make sure that it's Being Used and in my BIOS. Basically guy's I need help Please help. Thank you!
Create a new world, does your FPS return to normal? Revert to 1.7.2 (1.7.4 only introduced twitch integration, you can connect to 1.7.4 servers with 1.7.2), and see if there is any improvement.
To make sure Minecraft is using the nVidia card, right click Minecraft.exe > run with graphics processor > high-performance nvidia processor. If that option does not exist, then you can safely assume that it is.
