So recently I have built a new computer. The first time I downloaded Minecraft I was able to allocate memory for the game just fine, but now after uninstalling and re-uninstalling java and minecraft I am still unable to allocate memory. http://imgur.com/a/JDtuN
Here are two pictures.
If anyone knows the fix for this it would be much appreciated.
Please note that your setup launches Minecraft with 32-bit Java. I would recommend the 64-bit variant instead, as you cannot allocate more than 1.5GB of RAM to a 32-bit installation of Java. http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
If you do have 64-bit Java, please change the executable path to
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe
You may also have a global java parameter set by certain software, to remedy this,
Press the Windows key and the Pause/Break key one after another.
Thank you very much for your help. I had already downloaded 64 bit Java and knew that was not the problem. _JAVA_OPTIONS was the issue. Once again thank you very much
