Ever since 1.7.2, my tamed cats and dogs have been unable to be made to stand. I have tried with various tools and objects in my hand, and obviously with nothing in it.
If I hit them, they recoil in the standing pose as usual. However as soon as the animation finishes they go back to their sitting position.
It's not a game-ruining glitch, but I would greatly appreciate some help all the same.
I know that right-clicking is correct. That's what I was trying. I checked in the controls, and it seems that everything was in order. I'm sure that the animals are mine, because this is in a single player world. Thanks for the suggestions though.
Where did you place your cats and dogs? Be careful, placing them on chests, active furnaces, beds, and more may cause them to auto sit. In case of the mouse, the mouse may be unable to respond. Try mapping the Use Item key to X and try it.
