I was playing on a server and it froze and an error message came up: "Java(TM se binary platform is not working). I've been looking online for an answer to this and found a few things to try but they did not work.
I tried:
1) deleting the .minecraft folder and forcing minecraft to update
2) updating Java
3) checking to make sure i had the correct version of java, i did
4) restarting my computer
None of these worked. I'm not very good with computers so i don't know whats wrong.
Computer specs:
eMachines model EL1360G
Processor: AMD E-300 APU with radeon(tm) HD graphics 1.30GHz
System Type: 64-bit operating system
Windows 7
I don't know if you need any other information to try and help me.
Does the error message only happen when you are on that particular server? Have you tried to remove all prior versions of Java before attempting to install newer versions? It is highly recommended that you do so.

Yea, this sux because when I start up minceraft, it runs perfectly, until I start a game up.... sometimes it runs for like 3 minuits then freezes, sometimes it freezes when I kill mobs, it freezes all the time when I mine in survival (mine anything) but this only happens on windows 8.1 I got this laptop, THIS Christmas, and it is a gateway laptop.

I would suggest creating your own topic detailing your issue with as descriptive as possible if you wish to request help. You may have a different issue than the OP here. It may seem the same, but usually is not.
it seems to only be happening on that server. No i haven't tried that, but i will. Thanks
It may be something on the server that's crashing Java, to an extent that it did not have a chance to throw out and error report. May want to bug the server owner about any anomalies on the server.
