Well, I turned on my laptop today and opened up the Minecraft 1.3.7 launcher. It was just a blank page. I waited a while for the page to load. Nothing happened. I can't even click the close button, because its frozen. One hint that might help is that, my laptop is not currently connected to the Internet. Is there any way I can make it load/close it without having to reinstall/delete anything? I can't even shut down my computer because of it.Ok, I've managed to force quit it, and I'm now trying to shut down and reopen the launcher. Would all this have anything to do with the laptop not being connected to any Internet networks?
You need internet for the main page to load, else it will always display a blank page. Although the behaviour in which your launcher does not allow you to exit is not supposed to happen.
You may need to remove Java completely and reinstall it, though that does require an internet connection to obtain the files, http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
