I have 2 toshiba satellite laptops, one older, one very new, both of which have windows 7. I use both for minecraft with the same setups, and settings, mouse etc. all vanilla. The new laptop has developed an odd quirk in gameplay that is new since 1.7ish(i dont often use this one so it is not often updated) When i use my keyboard keys to move my avatar, my mouse clicks are not registered; no attacks, or item usage. However if my character is still for a second or two the mouse buttons will again start working as usual.
I have updated java as was suggested, even though the new launcher is supposed to do that automaticly. Then i went through some suggestions about changing touchpad settings unsuccessfully, not suprising since i dont use it. The only thing that may have affected it but not solved was when i tried a suggestion to reduce keyboard repeat rate and repeat delay. I think the effect is something like me clicking like crazy manages to squeeze some clicks in between the key repeats. Sometimes i am able to get it to work normally on a long walk/run, only to have it relapse as soon as i release the 'w' key. If there is any other suggestions, I would be very happy to try them.
