I got the following error code when trying to launch the Minecraft Launcher on my computer. I've looked around and found it could be a problem with Java, so I tried un-installing and re-installing Java multiple times. Minecraft works fine on my other computer but when I try to run it on my laptop is fails.

You have special characters in your Windows username, and this is causing Java to mess up. The only workaround is to create a new Windows user profile, please create one with only alphanumeric characters this time.
Note that changing your current Windows username will not work, as the file path is still unchanged.
