I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, if this is in the wrong place please tell me the correct place to post this and delete the topic.
Me and my sister are trying to play together on a LAN world. We have no mods, hacks, or anything that modifies our client. When we try to connect to a LAN world from either computer we get this error messgae.
(This may not be completely accurate)
java.net:ExceptionConnect Connection Refused. No further information.
I've googled countless searches trying to find anything of use but to no avail. I would appreciate if anyone would give me a solution to my problem as I'm not savvy with internet and networking. I tried using my command prompt with this command: ipconfig. I tried using a direct connect using either the Ipv4 address or the Default Gateway. We use a wireless router btw. Both me and my sister have Minecraft 1.7.4 and we both use Windows 8.
The only possible solution I found recently is that my account is a Premium account but my sister's isn't. Is this the problem? If it is, then I would have to give up all hope because my dad won't be willing to pay more money.
Is it possible to upgrade a regular account to premium without getting a whole new account?
