Whenever i try to connect to my brother's LAN server it crashes back to the update screen, ready to be repeated. It lets me play single player, i click multiplayer, i see his LAN server, it connects, it starts to load and finally before i can move it kicks me the launcher. Sometimes it gives an error message asking to update java (which it is) and other times it just kicks me to the launcher, no error message.
The strange part is i can still connect to my cousin's LAN just fine, so one is fine, the other isn't. Its not modded and its a full 1.7.4 game. I don't know what's wrong.
Before someone asks, i updated my drivers and i ran virus checkers. I can't look at the old error message because its no longer popping up for me. It's not a firewall because its loading for me.
It's also only a sometime's crash apparently. It let me join this time.
I think it had something to do with loading the environment. It let me join in once and I turned down the graphics. I hope that was the issue. It has been a bit random about it.
Well that would imply that one or both of us lost connection to the internet and it wouldn't just kick me so consistently at the same spot. Besides, both of us are using an Cat-5 cable through a router and are not connected via wireless. I'm starting to suspect it is something much more sinister like a hardware failure or a virus. That's kinda out of your jurisdiction. It appears you haven't heard of this happening so i can only assume. Still, thank you for your suggestions.
