I'm finally find an old save file I thought I lost when I had to reformat my computer. My wife and daughter are getting into Minecraft now, and wanted to show them the world I had spent so much effort making.
I think its from the 1.4 era (wolves had just been new). I drop it into my .minecraft/saves folder with the other worlds, and can see it. It says last played 3.31.11 and Must be converted!
However, when I select Play the game crashes out and when I select Re-Create the game crashes out.
If the world are not to big u can upload the world to an filehoster and i tray to convert them for u.
If they from 1.4 it maybe not so big problem.
I think i have the 1.4 Versions complete backup if the new launcher don't give the right version)
Pleas use Winrar for best compression before Upload.
And ad last u use now 1.7.4??? I only ask because i always test maps before give back if they running in the users Minecraft Version.
Converting the portal back to an older version and working my way back up did the trick! Also, I had to delete one of the files out of the folder that had me "locked" as playing. Thanks for the help. :-)
