Alright, so I have had the problem recently of Minecraft not launching. Whenever I click on it, I get a parental controls window saying that it is blocked. However, my parents showed me that they have it fully allowed, and I have full control of minecraft.exe, even ownership of the item. We looked under properties when right-clicking on the file, and at the bottom, under general, there is text saying "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer". It then gives me the option to unblock it. I press "unblock", and then press "apply", and hit "ok". I then try to run minecraft, and it still says that it is blocked. When I right-click the file again, the dialogue and unblock option aren't there anymore. If it helps, when looking at the icon for the minecraft file, there is a small lock symbol in the bottom left corner of it. When we did this the first time, the problem was fixed. Any time after that, it didn't work. It is as if the option isn't saved whenever I log off. I am not the administrator, but have full control of the object. The parental controls is Microsoft Family Safety. I am wondering if anyone could help. Minecraft is rather special to me, and I haven't been able to play for weeks.
I am very sure that this is not a problem with the parental controls, unless content from other computers is blocked, but we have gotten it to work once. I have tried deleting and re-downloading already, but that didn't change anything.
I believe I have fixed the problem, but it is hard to tell. Minecraft is currently working, but it might not the next, as this is unpredictable. I used the tips you gave me, and I believe it is fixed. If not, however, I shall see about getting parental controls changed. Thank you.
