I've been having trouble hosting and joining LAN worlds. When I host a LAN world, my friends cannot find it on the multiplayer screen, where it just says "Searching for games on your local network" and never progresses beyond that. The same happens when my friends host a LAN server. My computer can't find it, but all the others in the house can and can join. The only way I can join is through Direct Connect, which works, but is annoying for both me and them.
I've already tried turning off my firewall, as well as various other "remedies," but nothing has worked yet. What is also odd is that I can both join and host Terraria servers with no issues, but Minecraft has been giving me problems. Any help?

it probably has to do with my firewall or something, but I'm not good with stuff like that so I hope someone posts some answers to this problem.
