I was able to play my world last night and when I woke up this morning to get some work done, the whole world wouldn't load. I'm not sure if the save is corrupt, any help would be welcome.
Having this problem as well, except its just on maps that have a lot of blocks and detail. Ive tried it with Optifine and without Optifine- same problem. Ive also tried making sure there was only the latest Java installed in running, before the old version was running, tried turning it off and still get the same problem.
The interesting thing is the blocks load at first. Its when ive explored the world for 5 minutes that i begin to notice large sections of blocks missing.

If u can load a other world/map it wood by an defect world else u got an Minecraft PC.
If its an world problem upload it to an filehoster and i tray to fix it for u.
