When i try to play minecraft it says loading versions and i left it like that for a few hours and it still would not load the versions. in the version folder i have the updated version but in the launcher i have 0 versions i can use. if needed i can bring up the error message i seen when on the console. i need help to fix this fast!

Hi,
You appear to have an issue with Java, possibly as documented here, issue MCL-905.
Please uninstall all versions of Java from your system using the manual guide here.
Afterwards, install JRE 8 EA, from here.
Then, try to run Minecraft again.
