Please tell me how I can stop block lag, I'm getting block lag on my Minecraft single-player world in 1.7.4!

(My total guess is, your PC can't handle the new version at a reasonable speed; probably an old graphics card... probably an integrated Intel "Graphics accelerator". That's just a guess, but it seems to be what most people have been complaining about for the past few days)
PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
