So I just built my new computer yesterday (specs here), and today I got around to installing my programs and stuff. JAVA was one of the first things I installed (besides up to date drivers, of course) and then Minecraft. When I tried to launch Minecraft, I go this message, "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: a fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit." Does anyone know what is happening and what I have to do to fix it?
Thanks in advance,
Colin
PS I know I could of made some improvements on my computer, so please don't focus on that and do focus on the problem.
You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to the Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP). Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to re-install Java.
