Not sure if this is a driver problem as I can't see how it would be. But I think this is more of a settings issue, I don't know how to force it to use the discrete card. I'm running off of a laptop with an integrated GPU (Intel HD Graphics 3000). I have a 3,071 MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M card. I have a feeling that minecraft keeps on running off the intel graphics regardless of the NVIDIA control panel settings I use via "Manage 3D Settings" > "Program Settings" and then selecting both minecraft.exe, and all the different types of java listings there are. (ie. javaw, etc.)
I get approximately 20 FPS in minecraft on the laptop display itself (30+ FPS at random moments).
Then strangely enough when I output my display via HDMI to a 1080p monitor I get at least 130 FPS. I get much more though.
So something is clearly wrong. Willing to post more information that just this.
Um Java updated to latest, Nvidia drivers are on latest.
Thanks!
