Well, when I first got my desktop, minecraft worked fine. I tried installing a mod, but it keep loading errors, and like the idiot I was, I deleted it.
Now, when I try to do it, it downloads a empty file of minecraft.exe, and nothing pops up.
Please help.

What happens when you run the Minecraft launcher?
I will assume it crashes, or returns some strange error so please do the following;
You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, press your Windows+R keys, type in %AppData% at the dialog, and press Enter. In the window that appears, open the .minecraft directory, and delete everything except for the saves directory that you see therein.
Then, download a fresh copy of the Minecraft launcher from here, save it somewhere important, remove the old launcher, and run that.
Tell us what happens when you run that new launcher.
