[1.7.2] [Mac] Headset Lagging Game

I recently got a Skullcandy Plyr 1 USB Headset and when using it with Minecraft i get 8-20 FPS when I usually get 30-45. My computer is :

Late 2008
Macbook Pro
Running Mavericks
Using Java "1.6.0_65"
I believe it may be because there are too many things plugged into my computer.

If its usb it may be a driver conflict.Try going to the website and looking up the headset specifically and downloading the drivers from there.

I checked about that earlier, doesn't seem like that is the problem.
It is Plug and Play so I don't think it would have anything to do with the drivers.
