Every time I load the world--and sometimes when I just leave this area and come back later--this wall reappears. I can put other blocks there, but they just get broken and return to this.
I was actually surprised when I recorded this: normally the blocks don't drop anything (like the second time I broke them).
Is there a way I might fix this? I don't recall exactly when it happened, but I'm guessing it might have started around when 1.7 came out, or at least from some of the snapshots.
Thanks for the responses. No mods, and you can't walk through the wall. I tried placing a block next to the wall then re-loaded, and the block I placed became invisible but still sort of there... as in, I took damage when walking where the block was.
I will look into using MCEdit. There are also several chunks farther from my base that are just completely flat cliff walls and water. I never bothered much with it because I don't go over there, but could that be fixed with MCEdit as well?
To make sure the launcher stays open: click Edit Profile, then check Launcher Visibility, select Keep Launcher Open and finally hit Save Profile.
Next play the game, and wait until you get the 'wall' issue.
When that happens go to the minecraft launcher, switch to the "Development Console" tab, and copy all the text with Control + A then Control + C.
Then paste the text into a spoiler here.

I'm guessing the part that says "error" might be it? Every time I load the game standing next to the wall (and the wall reappearing like in the video), this came up:

Here's the full log from loading my world, then re-loading it (by the wall):

If you do now know how to run an MCEdit repair, upload the file to Mediafire and we can do it for you.
