So I have a strange problem. I was playing minecraft today and I wanted to do a little deconstruction/reconstruction to my shelter. I took some stuff apart and made a few changes, then saved and exited to get a fresh cup of coffee. I returned and logged back in, and all the work I had just done reverted back to its original state. For example. I had taken down a trap I built and put the redstone repeaters I took apart and put it in my chest. I logged off, then came back and after I returned to the game the items were still in the chest but the structure was the same as it was before I took it apart.

I had also laid some trap door panels on a higher floor in my shelter and all that work reverted, but the panels were not returned to my inventory.

In addition to that, sometimes my shelter goes missing. I was digging a series of tunnels underground and got to the chunk directly under my shelter and it was like a missing chunk. I could not go into the chunk so I backed out and went around to the other side, where I was able to mine all the way through to the tunnel I was working on from the opposite direction.

Please help. This is my first post so please let me know what kind of information you guys need to diagnose the problem. I am playing on a ACER laptop, windows 7 64 bit. I just updated my GPU drivers for my AMD radeon HD 4250 and I have the latest version of Java (45)

I also saved my saved folder and deleted MC and redownloaded it to no avail.

Try deleting the session.lock every time you exit.

I opened the directory and found that file in the particular save game. I deleted it. I logged back in. I demolished the eight redstone repeaters around my trap again to test this idea and put them in my chest and logged out and deleted the session.lock again and logged back in. The redstone repeaters were all back in place in the world as if the game didn't save and they weren't demolished, AND the repeaters were still in the chest. Great way to farm repeaters I guess but I'm more concerned about being able to save my work.

Somebody PLEASE HELP.

1. Close Minecraft
2. Go to Appdata, and then .minecraft
3. Go to the problematic world.
4. Delete session.lock

Also, does this happen on every world or just one?

Just this world, but one of the other worlds has a problem with an entire chunk just missing all the way down to bedrock so I stopped playing it. I did exactly what you instructed, deleted session lock and the game still will not save any changes I make to the world It just started doing this today.

Also, on my last log in I got an error message that said " Unable to locate sign at -390, 69, -191" There is a sign there, but I demolished it (and it came back along with everything else I changed that session)

I saw the error in the report about the chunks in the wrong place. On the contrary, it is not saving fine. I did place four blocks on that session, copied, pasted the report to this post and when I logged back in the blocks I set were gone, not saved.

I will watch the video and see if I can get my world posted up here for testing.

This issue really bothers me. I just got MC a week ago ad it worked fine until today, and nothing has changed except my world is all messed up. I put a lot of work into this world and I don't want to reroll it. I just want it to run normally like it did before.

It seems to be fixed. I logged in, moved around a few blocks. Logged completely out and back in and it looks like it saved. I don't know how you did it or what you did but you are awesome and I appreciate your time and help! Thank you!
