I'm currently having problem with my minecraft as i can't access the save folders and resource packs.
This happened when i updated to the recent 1.7.2 patch.

What i think its because its not reading the folders found in the Appdata folder. (not sure)

Currently, its looking for a the path "C:\Users\Sean\..." which i don't have that kind of users folder.
anyone know how to fix this?

Check what you have set it to.

Can you explain how to do it? x_x i'm very sorry for being noobish

Run the launcher.
Select your profile.
Hit "Edit Profile"
The second line is the "Game Directory"

Can you run Minecraft as an administrator?
