This is my first time posting on this forum and I need help! I have a save file that will not open in my list of games. The first time I try to open it, it brings me back to the start screen and then the second time I try to open it, the program stops responding and I have to force quit.
Background info:
I have a mac OSX version 10.9
I'm running version 1.7.2
My game is NOT modded.
I installed a resource pack for the first time and used it in the game. However, it seemed as though I couldn't open chests during gameplay so I tried to remove the resource pack during gameplay (through the interface, not in my finder) and the game stopped responding so I just quit. This may be the reason it got corrupted.
I erased all evidence of the resource pack and tried to start again. Didn't work.
I uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft.jar. Didn't work.
I tried making a new world and copying and pasting different files from the first world into the new one. Still Didn't work.
I don't know what to do and this particular save file is very important to me. If anyone can help, please let me know.
IF u want, upload u world to an Filehoster and i look if i can fix it for u.
Or u can tray fix it by u self with MC-Edit. (Don't know how to run the program on MAC.)

I Do think there is a MC-Edit for mac, Try searching MC-Edit for mac on Google. Good Luck.

u right there is an MC-Edit version for MAC OS:

As an reminder: (Always make an backup before use tools on Datafiles)
