Please help! I don't even know if I'm posting this in the right place. I bought & downloaded the latest version of Minecraft, but it always goes to Not Responding when I click on Single or Multi Player. I have Windows Vista on Toshiba laptop. I upgraded to 4GB RAM (specifically to run this game). A scan on ATI site says I have the latest graphics card. I also have plenty of memory. The newest version of Java wouldn't let me load game at all, so I found & installed Java 6 Update 45. I have tried deleting Minecraft (including the .minecraft folder) & re-downloading, to no avail. I have also made sure my Windows (Vista) is up to date. I bought this for my 5 y.o. son, who loves to play the pocket edition on my phone, but I cannot get the PC version to work. I am not very technically inclined, so I have tried everything I know to do (even changed/turned off stuff in the options, like sounds, etc). Please, please, please help me sort this out. If you have suggestions, please give them to me step by step bc I don't know how to change code, etc. I would just like to get it working for him.
