Just got whitelisted to a new server, running 1.7.2
The server runs the following 3 mods:

Grief Prevention
World Border
Smart Restart


my client is unmoddified with no texture packs or anything. fresh installation from minecraft.net

when I connect to the server I get the following error messages:

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException:Java.io.IOException Bad Packet id 136026

or


Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException:Java.io.IOException Bad Packet id 47

or

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException:Java.io.IOException Bad Packet id 18938321

or

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.CorruptedFrameException: length wider than 21-bit

still no suggestions?

tried reinstalling, removing the appdata minecraft folder completely. all drivers and java up to date.

shameless self bump. Still can't play due to this error.
