I have been trying to log online in the Minecraft Launcher, every time I try I get the same message: Can't connect to minecraft.net
Both my husband and myself have been trying from two different computers, one a PC one a Mac. We have been playing on these two computers fine for at least 1.5 years, no settings have changed.
Minecraft.net is working and the news section is loading - two main issues that come up when I haven't been able to login in the past.
I an still working off of the old Launcher, I was not able to upgrade to the latest as my Mac is old and can't run it. I do have the new Launcher on my PC and we were able to login online on the new Launcher.
It seems like the issue is with the old launcher. We have been working off this older Launcher fine since the upgrade happened, until now.
Has Minecraft stopped the old Launcher(s) from working? Am I screwed?
Mojang responded to an email I sent them about this problem. Originally the told me to just use the new Launcher. After I explained that I could not use the new launcher they responded with this a few minutes ago:
"I talked to one of the developers, and apparently they have fixed the "Can't connect to minecraft.net" issue for the old launcher now. Please try and use it again and see if it works for you this time."
I am not at home so I can't text this, hopefully it is true!
