I'm new to Minecraft, and I'm running it on a slower PC.

I would like any help from forum-goers with tips to optimize the game for my system, using either mods or tweaking the in-game settings.

Here are my specs:

Acer Aspire AX3960-U4102
Intel CORE i3-2100 (3.10GHz)
Windows 7 (64bit)
4GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 2000

I keep all of my drivers up to date, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Any advice would be appreciated!

First of all, instead of fancy in settings, change it to fast under the option -> Graphics. Then if you want to enhance your experience install Optifine, allow you to zoom out and in, it is for very useful. Lastly install this mod, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/124417-v13-optimine-fps-boost-optimization-updated/, Which would boost your fps in Minecraft for it to run smoother. Good Luck, and Enjoy!
