I have recently updated to 1.7.2 from 1.6.2. But one of my favorite servers requires users to use 1.6.4. I've downloaded the 1.6.4 jar file and exe file from another thread on this forum but it lacked instructions on how to install it.
If someone could help me install 1.6.4 on 1.7.2 with Magic Launcher that would be appreciated.

You can't install new versions of Minecraft with Magic Launcher.

Moderatorno need to use magic launcher etc.
or you can create a new profile and call it 1.6.2, do the above, then switch profiles depending on the version you want to play with

Curse PremiumYou can't install new versions of Minecraft with Magic Launcher.
1. Download the official launcher at http://www.minecraft.net/download
2. Download the 1.7.2 jar using the launcher
3. Open MagicLauncher and select the 1.7.2 file under the versions folder
I installed 1.7.2 through the original launcher. I'm looking to launch 1.6.4.

Curse PremiumIn that case, download the 1.6.4 jar from the original launcher, then make a new profile in Magic Launcher and change the jar to the 1.6.4 jar.
