Hi, so to start off im REALLY new to mac and i'm just using my brother's while he is away. I prefer my custom built pc.....anyways I'm trying to get minecraft on here and it just WONT work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java, turning off his firewall, and deleting and re downloading the launcher. here's what it gives me:

​As the console had described, reinstall Java and make sure your internet connection is not blocked.

reinstalled java a thousand times. internet and proxy settings are fine. It atumped me thats why i came here lol

Nevermind guys got it working!! See, I was convinced my brother didn't have any antiviruse, but upon digging through his files i found this program called Avast? Anyways, It had a "web shield" and that was the problem. Thanks for helping though guys!!

Your welcome! Im glad I helped, I was about to say that maybe it is caused by firewall or some other programs that blocked Minecraft. Anyways, enjoy Minecraft
