Is there anyway for it to look like 1.6.4 then 1.7.2? I don't like the look. It seems kind of flat colored.

You appear to have your mipmap features of 1.7.2 on right now, creating that flat, overly smoothed look. To fix this, press ESC (Or whatever key you have binded to pause the game) and go into Options. Once into Options, click the Video Settings button. From that point, there should be an Mipmap Levels bar that you can move to select your level of mipmapping. Put this to off and leave the pause menu. There should be a short delay in your game for the world to re-render and then it your should be back to the original look of Minecraft.
