I've noticed this... When I play Minecraft and I'm in windows 8.1 there is a clicking problem. I can't click with the left button sometimes (it works 20% of the time, so I have to click 5 times to get it to work). The odd thing is right clicking works just fine. I don't know why but I've installed 8.1 at least 3 times and Minecraft has this issue every single time. Is this a Minecraft issue, a Windows issue, or a hardware issue?
I'm running Minecraft 1.7.2, Asus Republic of Gamers laptop
Any ideas? I've done a system restore and went to Windows 8, worked perfectly fine, but after getting Windows 8.1 I have the problem
I have this exact issue & am searching all over the internet. Haven't found a thing so hopefully someone does soon. Right click is like you say working perfectly yet left click is working very little. I am also using an ASUS laptop (not sure the type) (no touchscreen). Just cause it may find the source of the issue is your computer touch screen compatible & are you using touch pad (I am) or a mouse?
Found a solution! For whatever reason, Windows 8.1 has preconfigured mouse settings which conflict with whatever mouse and touchpad drivers you have installed. These settings can be accessed via "PC Settings". Open up the charms bar, go to "Settings", then click "Change PC Settings". Within "PC Settings", click "PC and devices". Click "Mouse and touchpad", and under the header "Touchpad" using the dropdown menu, select "No delay (always on)! I hope this helps all of you. I don't know why they put the settings in 2 places...
