Hey friends, really hoping someone can help us out.
This morning our server, still on 1.6.2, experienced an enormous amount of lag. We tried trimming away most of our machines, though they haven't given us trouble before. A tune playing on note blocks lost its regularity over the night, and a pulse that should have taken about a second to travel was taking four. We started getting Bad Login errors and despite uninstalling and re-installing Minecraft and updating the server we haven't been able to fix it.
The best response we can get, after adding our world folder, is to log in to a laggy server and then receive a Bad Login error if we log out and try to log in again. There is strange stuff happening in the world, such as blocks going missing that Endermen and other creatures have no business with and important signs going missing. It happens to any of our back up worlds that we try. Does this sound familiar to anyone? We're looking at losing 2 years' worth of work
the bad login is a error in the login servers for 1.6.4 and earlier servers,

welcome to #minecrafthelp. 1.6.4 clients are currently getting Failed: Bad Login error when trying to log into 1.6.4 multiplayer servers. Please wait patiently as Mojang fixes the issue.

ModeratorThank you for your prompt reply. I'm relieved! Will this persist until we upgrade?
