So I haven't been on Minecraft since I felt I used the 1.6 update to its fullest extent. I just got on yesterday and updated to the newest version (1.7.2) and textures won't load on my worlds.
It happens whether it's a brand new world or an old one, I'll get on and any where from instantly to five minutes to a half hour after I start playing, everything goes black, nearly. The sky stays blue (even the sun goes black) none of the mobs lose their texture, and chests keep the texture.
The "texture" for nearly everything is black, not even pink and black like things usually are when a texture doesn't load. I haven't tried loading a texture, ahem, resource packs yet because I don't think that would help anything at all. I've tried limiting my FPS to 60, limited my render distance to 8 chunks, and even set my graphics to fast, it still happens. I don't know what else to do, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this, anyone else had this problem?
