I cannot start up Minecraft in any which way without one of the following happen

-Launcher crash, leaves a crash log
-Unable to Un-LZMA launcher.pack.lzma (solved, i just un LZMA manually)
-Minecraft Crash, leaves IOExeption and near empty crash log
-Versions never load
-Launcher does not open, still leaves java.exe for the launcher though
-Launcher glitches out then closes without warning, no crash log
-Cannot connect to minecraft authentication servers
-File missing error (I search for the file in the directory as complained about and the file is there)
-Able to launch Minecraft, but activating a home screen button terminates launcher and game
-Tries to redownload sounds, but never finishes, leaving the Play button unusable
-Garbled error message upon launcher initialization (Unknown reason on what it says)

I re-installed minecraft launcher too many times and i rebooted my computer very many times too.
Does anybody have a fix for this? this has been going on for a WEEK already...

Try backing up your .minecraft/saves folder, then deleting .minecraft. A fresh minecraft will be installed.

If it doesn't work, update java.

It sounds like a computer problem more then an MC problem.

try running the launcher as administrator maybe? That worked for me when it didn't work on my old PC

I tried everything you suggested (exept the saves, i play multiplayer mainly), java was updated, i tried running as admin when i cleared the .minecraft out after java updated

Result: Minecraft.exe will close as if it overloaded itself, has 1/4 chance of leaving a test file with error details inside

(and just an FYI, i did download Minecraft.jar launcher file as well, that did not work any better, it runs the same problem, this may sound irrational, but i will try to launch using Minecraft.dmg for the mac platform... i dont think it might work any better, but knowing is better... :P)
