When I try downloading the 1.7.2 or 1.6.4 it just won't download and it will keep saying Couldn't download https://s3.amazonaws...craft.Resources Log of what is happening http://pastebin.mozilla.org/3614270
does anyone know why this is happening as it was working yesterday fine.

Also when i directly go to the links of the files it needs i get this

Same, when I open minecraft.exe, the development Console is filled with this:

Yes Mojang's file servers hosted through Amazon are having issues currently. Nothing we can do but wait patiently

Oh i see thought it was a problem on my end.

For reference, "Server responded with 503" is an indicator that it is most likely a server-end issue. Generally this error means that the server is operating very slowly, overloaded with requests, under maintenance, or otherwise hindered.

I Google what it meant after i posted this 503 Service Amazon SimpleDB is busy handling other requests, likely due to too many simultaneous requests. Consider reducing the frequency of your requests, and try again. See About Response Code 503.

And is been quite a while but still no fix to the amazon server

This is a known issue, and is being worked on.

No ETA, though.

All I'll say is that Amazon isn't happy with the consumed bandwidth, and has throttled the Minecraft.Resources server.

If you know what you're doing, then you can manually get the files from https://s3.amazonaws...aftResources/.

Same for here... Except I can still play minecraft, but I can't hear any music & sounds.

hope they get it sorted this is rediculous because i wanna play some atlauncher mod packs !!!!!
