When I start launcher It comes up with this error "This registry refers to a nonexistant Java Runtime Environnment or this file is Corrupt!"
Its been happening all the time. Ive re-installed Java, but when I uninstall Minecraft I cannot install it as it says the same error.. Help me !!
First, go to the Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP). Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp re-install Java, the "64-bit" version.
If it gives an error, when installing, use the 32-bit version.
I'd also recommend getting some sort of registry cleaner. Corrupt Java versions occasionally get pretty embedded into your system.
Alternatively, if you open the Java Console within the Control Panel(if this is a Windows OS), you may be able to avoid having to clean out bad registry values by deleting the Temporary files in the Settings under the General tab.
