Hey guys,i am new to this forums. So currently I knew about the 1.7.2 Update and i wanna to get it but I Stucked at 1.6.4 and it Doesn't Update to 1.7.2. So I guess is the Java's Problem so i updated it to Java 7 Update 45 But it doesn't worked. So i restarted my launcher and Waited it to Do "Updating Profile and Version List" But it like never do anything . I can't play Mc because of this. Thks for any help!
When you start up the Minecraft launcher, you can see an 'edit profile' button on the bottom left side of the launcher. Select this, and after that select 'use version'. In the list that appears, you'll find Minecraft 1.7. Select it, run the game, and enjoy!

Already done that but it is still like Updating Profile and version list so i could only play 1.6.4 and the other versions except for the latest update like 1.7.2. Anyway, thks for the reply!

Hi,
Instead, you should press "Edit Profile", and set "Use Version" to "Use Latest Version", in the dropdown.
Save the profile, and play.
In the future, don't edit the default profile.
