I recently (November 3rd), updated to Windows 8.1. After the update, I tried out Minecraft. I had not expected any problems, so of course, I got them. There is only one problem that I am aware of: I used to get 180-240fps and now I only get an unstable 20.
This has made playing Minecraft unbearable with such a change. I have been researching this and found that I am not the only one and this is a big issue.
Microsoft has made it as hard as possible to revert back to regular Windows 8. The least hurtful way is to do a system refresh. Even that is very frustrating to do because I would have to re-install all of my programs EVEN PURCHASED ONES. Something maybe even more depressing is that in my frustration, I am seriously considering this.
One unlikely possibility is that this has nothing to do with Windows 8.1, and this rant is worthless. HOWEVER, I am almost positive this is not the case.
IF YOU FIND A FIX, OR NEED TO REPORT ANOTHER PROBLEM RELATED TO THIS, POST HERE

But this really isn't my problem...... I usually get 240-250 fps and when i got windows 8.1 i get 15-25
