X-ray when changing to new flowers

Hey all, I have been having this problem where when I switch to one of the new flowers in the patch, the entire dirt and land textures become x-ray. I can see all the NPCs around and the caves underneath, but nothing else. Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks

I have not played Minecraft for ages, but that might be a chunk error. It is common especially in the Ocean Biome. Have you tried switching worlds?

Try turning off the mipmapping option in MC video options.
