A bit of history: I played on 1.6 fine, but after I updated to 1.7.2 to keep playing on a Multiplayer server, I started to receive Java ™ Platform SE Binary crashes. I updated Java, but it continued, But somehow resolved itself after 2 days of not trying to play minecraft.
Jump forward after a few weeks of playing without absolutely any issues, I suddenly get these whenever I try to log into the server:
