I just installed minecraft on a new computer. When I try to launch the game it opens the launcher but only shows the outline of the window but refuses to load anything even if I leave it for hours. It doesn't show any errors or anything. At first, I tried using the .minecraft files that came with installing minecraft but that didn't work so I copied over .minecraft files from my previous computer and so far no luck. I've tried connecting online and offline but no change and also tried downloading the minecraft.exe again. And of course it's the latest minecraft version. I use Windows 7 operating system and it's 32-bit. It's a bit of an old laptop but it still works fine. Any ideas about how to get it working?
What version of Java do you have installed on the computer? Perhaps a reinstall of the latest version would fix your issue, http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
