This has been happening for a couple of days since I got 1.7
I had noticed that some of my sounds would not play AT ALL.

The missing sounds are...

Creeper Hiss

Mob Noises (Zombie, Skeleton, Spider, Enderman Ect.)

Noises for being hit or hitting a player (The Slap)

Player Walking

Explosions (Sometimes)

The main one that is annoying me is the Noise for when you are hit.
Its very hard to tell when playing PVP games when you are hit.
You have to constantly watch you're health and watch for the little "Hop" that happens when you are hit.

I am using Mac OSX Mavericks

I am running Vanilla Minecraft (No Mods)

I am using Release 1.7

And all my audio is at the highest settings


Please Help!

ooh, mac. That complicates things. are you using speakers or headphones? Are the com settings for audio and the mc settings up?

Yes, Im using RHA headphones (Its a special kind made for mac) I have tried adjusting the headphones but nothing happens.
Plus, it can't have anything to do with the headphones because all other sounds are playing.

Ok, so delete the 1.7.2 .jar file in the versions folder? And then reinstall 1.7.2?
