... A) how are you supposed to use a computer where you can create files but not delete them? Eventually you will fill up the disk. In addition the normal operation of a windows computer requires that files be created AND deleted all the time. (example ~$blahblah lock files) If %appdata% is inaccessible then how does minecraft run at all?
On my school, you can't manually delete files.. Only files you are able to delete are microsoft office files, anything else you've created you can't delete anymore.
And you cant manually access %appdata%. It tells me that it is restricted, if I make a .bat file however (normally it doesn't allow you to, but I know a way to make them) and use it to access the folder, it works.
That's exactly how it works. I wasnt the one who made my schools computer security system..
Well, back to topic..
If you need admin privilages to delete a file, it obviously means that you need an account with admin privilages.. How else do you want to do it (without getting in trouble atleast.. So uh, why were you playing minecraft at school)?
It was free time, so i played it. Also i can delete ANY file i want, as long it's mine ie: downloads etc.

Just doesn't make sense to me.
Minecraft can access the %appdata% files, But people with out admin privileges can't access the %appdata% files because... well they contain files so things can run.

The files in %appdata% are yours and minecraft has no privileges that you yourself do not have.
I played minecraft on my school computer and went over my profile limit. i dont have admin privilages so i cant delete the files. HElp Pls?
what you can do is instead of deleting profiles you can make a profile choose a different instance of minecraft instead. every profile has its own options and its own minecraft files it is told to load in the profile menu. just select the version of minecraft you wish to play
Most of the space consumed by minecraft will be at %appdata%/.minecraft
