ive played Minecraft for about a year now, Survival and Creative... and recently got into texture packs, and I need more info about blending packs together because theres a pack that has the villager and mob skins I like but the other has the terrain I like.... Also, im looking for friends to start a local network game. is it possible for my friends to play survival on a game that I play creative?
That's good info. I have very little XP in dealing with PC networks.
The texture pack im currently using is "Chroma Hills", it looks great, nice terrain and items. but then ill come across a villager and he looks like a pixel fart. but this other pack that I cant get to work, "VonDoomcraft" has some amazing monster/villager skins, and id love to combine the two. but the "VonDoomcraft" pack is HD skins which may have something todo with it...
For combining texturepacks, just copy the files you like from one and paste them in the same place in the other texture pack and "replace all"
Skin crafting? You meaning a skin creator? Any picture editor works, but I use a online tool called "Nova skin" It Does 3-d skinning for yourself and has built in texturepack creator.

Is my computer set to the wrong date? Needing a mod to do HD texture packs? Having to combine files from resource packs- yes, resource packs, not texture packs- in order to merge them, which was what the resource pack changes in 1.7 were for?

I am so mad at the Sky fanboys who are like "ADD BUUUDDDER TWO MINCRFT CUZ BURDR Z SP ASWUM ND STUFZ BUDDERBUDDERBUDDER :D:D:D:D" that I am dedicating my signature to stopping them. I had gone into more depth, but the stupid signature limit stopped me. Oh well.
Combining resource packs is easy but hard to understand.
Players can be in any gamemode unless they're Opped meaning if your friend is Opped he can switch gamemodes of others and himself.

No longer. HD texture packs are now supported in 1.5.
